hamster wheelWhen it comes to deciding what to do about physical office space, many business owners have it simple.  If there are no funds for down payments or monthly mortgage expenditures, purchasing is immediately out as an option.  Likewise, if a business’s workforce is geographically scattered in order to nurture regional opportunities, there’s often no logic in investing in real estate for a large company headquarters.  Then the debate is often what and where to lease, if at all.

Yet of course, some businesses still function in the hamster wheel approach, in which space is considered a must, and everybody runs in forward circles trying to earn enough to keep a weighty operational budget funded.  All too often for such companies, the walls of their financially burdensome office spaces start to confine companies.  When the going gets tough for the business, it’s hard to maintain the space, let alone salaries.
