For months, my colleague-turned-friend would toss out that hypothetical question in the course of conversation. It often was uttered in an emotionally charged, nearly breathless huff and followed by a verbal barrage of all the ‘To Do’ list items that perpetually plagued this person. Whenever she’d finish, I’d give a knowing nod; after all, everybody’s busy. I get it.

After a very successful promotion, “Bill” was bombarded with a flurry of work. He’d stepped out with the promotion to generate opportunities during a slow season.
